marshall's

so i just came home from my group presentation meeting...and now i'm waiting around for natalie to call so that we can go to wrentham. yay!! in the meantime (because i don't really want to start any work if i'm not going to finish it [unproductivity tip #1]), i'm watching the view. in the trends part of the show, this woman from marshall's brought all these clothes to show us what they've got for the latest trends. here's what she had to say:

1. indulge in one or two trends per season
2. animal prints: don't try to wear it head to toe
3. victorian: velvet, frills - don't look too prim and proper
4. metallics: almost becomes a neutral in your closet if you wear it right (i agree), doesn't have to be gold or silver
5. western: not too much - you're not heading out on the range (still going to get my cowboy boots though...)
6. boho chic: more sheer fabrics this season (star said, this is SO on its way out...but star can't really wear trends...)
7. so...go to marshall's: big labels, small prices!

i should check that out. i always thought marshall's was shitty...but i guess i should get them a chance!...if i ever make it to downtown crossing. blaaaah. i hate it out there.
